I paid off a bill!

During my financial meeting last week I prepared to pay the $300 balance I thought I owed the office. Friday morning I called my doctor’s office to pay a lab work bill from last year. Imagine my surprise when the billing clerk said I only owed $218.99!

I had an $81.01 difference! I didn’t question where the mix up occurred. I just rattled off my debit card information and asked for my receipt to be emailed. It felt so good to get that bill out of the way. It felt good to scratch that bill off the list and focus on the next item on my debt snowball.

What did I do with the $81.01?

I treated myself to a manicure and Pandora charm! The next bill in my debt snowball que is a home appliance credit card I’ve had since 2015. Stick around because I’m hoping to share how I’ll negotiating a collections bill.
